As a 200 TW autocross tire the RE-71RS is complete night and day versus it's predecessor (The RE-71). Traction is superb and grip is amazing from the get go (and that's just with a heat cycling that's it) I would highly recommend this for an Autocross Tire!As far as daily driving if you do not drive very many miles in a year I would recommend this.

Amazing tire for a dry track day. Hard to beat the lap times and its consistency. It's a bit loud on the road to the track and hard but that is to be expected for this type of tire. Got caught in a lot of downpour once with them on and the hydroplaning was scary. Will buy again as my track focused tire.

In 9 season of Autocross I have been using the Bridgestone RE-71's for the last 6. The new version [RE-71S] is a step up from a previously excellent version in both wear and grip. Their singular drawback on the new RE-71S's, is inconsistency with the manufacturing QA/QC. Approximately 1 in 6 tires seem to have undersize beads; they won't go onto the rims. The Tire rack staff have been accommodating, courteous, and prompt in replacing these few anomalies and keep me racing through out the COVID and Post Covid periods. As for the tires performance, superb! The hottest season ever with track and road temperatures [on asphalt] in the 130's during the late June to mid September. We have recorded 1.2-1.3 g cornering on asphalt and 1.4-1.5 g on concrete and still have achieved longer wear life out of the new version of RE-71's. Plus we have experienced little fade in performance throughout the season. [28 races so far.]
