I bought this set of tires for the back of my 08 G37 Sport in July because they were a year old production and on closeout. I got the car aligned the same day the tires were mounted. The alignment was perfectly in spec, and I check the pressures every few days, so they were always run at 35-36 psi cold. I currently have put just over 8000 miles on them with a couple of twisty country road runs a week. Maybe 400 of the 8000 miles have been on roads that are taxing on the tires at all. I took the wheels off to install new rotors last night, and to my surprise found that they are worn out. I am into the wear bars all the way across the tire. I am truly dumbfounded by how quickly these tires went away. I guess I could understand it if my car was a tire shredding torque monster, but it's bone stock except for an axle back exhaust. I bought this car in June, and it had a new set of Yokohama Advan Apex v601 on the front that still look like new with almost no wear. I truly think these were from a bad batch or a production issue of some sort, but I wouldn't pay again to find out. As to the dry handling, they have been great. Good manners for everyday driving, and when being pushed on the twisty roads they are confidence inspiring. I have never pushed them to the point of breaking loose so I cannot comment on predictability. Wet handling/traction is garbage, perhaps the worst of any of this type of tire I have ever owned, and especially in heavy rain. They want to hydroplane like mad, and always feel like the back end is floating around looking for grip. They are quiet, and relatively comfortable for a low profile UHP summer tire.I guess if you have money to blow, buy these. They stick great, but if you have the experience I did, you'll be replacing them way too soon.
